TaskiConnect Terms of Use

User Responsibilities

1. Acceptance of Terms: By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any additional terms and conditions that may apply to specific sections of the App or to products and services available through the App.
2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must not share your login credentials with others.
3. Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information when using our Service, especially when creating an account.
4. Prohibited Activities: You must not engage in activities such as spamming, hacking, or any other unlawful or disruptive behavior on our Service.
5. Eligibility: You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
6. Account Registration: To access certain features of the App, you need to register for an account. During registration, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information, including selecting a service you will be offering or your profession. You are also required to submit your Bank Verification Number (BVN) for background checks. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account.
7. Wallet and Payments: Upon creating an account, an account wallet will be assigned to you. You can fund your wallet to pay for services provided. When a service creator posts an opportunity and a service provider submits a proposal, the service creator can accept the proposal, at which point the amount will be deducted from the wallet and kept in escrow. After the service provider submits the project, the money will be released to the service provider. Service creators can reject a freelancer's submission twice; after the second rejection, the matter will be directed for dispute resolution.
8. Background Verification for Professional Services: If you intend to offer professional services through the App, you must undergo a background verification process. You can post opportunities and use all other features of the App, but you will not be able to offer services until the background verification is complete. Once verified, you will be notified, and you can start offering your professional services on the App.
9. Acceptable Use: You agree not to use the App for any unlawful or prohibited activity. You shall not:
   • Use the App in any manner that could interfere with, disrupt, negatively affect, or inhibit other users from fully enjoying the App.
   • Upload, post, transmit, or otherwise make available any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
   • Use the App to impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

Intellectual Property

1. Ownership: All content and materials on our Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, are the property of TaskiConnect and are protected by intellectual property laws.
2. License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use our Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not grant you any ownership rights to our content.

Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found at privacy policy page. Please review our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and disclose information about our users.

Disclaimer of Warranty

The App is provided on an "as-is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the App, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.

Limitation of Liability

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Service.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the App, at our sole discretion, without notice and liability, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users of the App, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to this Agreement

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises between a service creator and a service provider that cannot be resolved through mutual agreement, the dispute will be submitted to binding arbitration or an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, as determined by us.
